She studied at the Central Saint Martins College of Fine Art. She worked as a freelance artist after finishing college undertaking commissions from various organizations from all parts of the country. These included all types of artwork from abstracts to murals. She had gained much experience and exposure to new techniques and styles through these commissions and has attributed a lot in creating her artwork today. She used the experience she gained from those commissions in the comfort of her own studio and her work improved a lot during that time.
After her son’s birth she mainly focused on her gallery career. She draws inspiration for her work from anything that comes across her mind and whatever she sees, may it be a scrap of paper from a magazine or from the TV when she least expects it. She is also a great admirer of classical music and that too has been a great inspiration for her work.
